(WWJ) A fourth person has been charged in connection with the murder of a Flint dollar store security guard over a face mask.

Brya Shatonia Bishop, 25, has been charged with several felonies, including tampering with evidence after the shooting death of Calvin Munnerlyn in the doorway of a Flint Family Dollar store last Friday.

According to Genesee County prosecutors, surveillance video shows Bishop's mother, Sharmel Teague, confronting Munnerlyn after he told Bishop she must wear a face mask to come inside to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

After an argument, Teague and Bishop left the store, authorities said; but about 20 minutes later Teague's husband, Larry Teague, and her son, Ramonyea Bishop, returned and confronted Munnerlyn.

That's when police alleged Bishop drew a handgun and shot Munnerlyn in the head, killing him.

While she may not have been at the scene when Munnerlyn was shot, prosecutors say a police investigation found Brya Bishop interfered with ongoing efforts to locate and apprehend Larry Teague and Ramonyea Bishop, who remain at large.

As a result, Genesse County Prosecutor Leyton has charged Brya Bishop with three felony counts including: tampering with evidence, a 10-year felony; lying to police investigating a violent crime, a 4-year felony; and accessory after the fact to a felony, a 5-year felony. She was in custody at the Genesee County Jail Thursday and was set to be arraigned on the charges in 67th District Court.

“We continue to work hard day and night to see justice through in this tragic and senseless killing,” said Leyton. “Brya Bishop’s attempts to shield family members will not be tolerated and we will likewise hold anyone else involved in offering shelter and assistance to Larry Teague or Ramonyea Bishop accountable under the law."

As the investigation continues, anyone with information to the whereabouts of Larry Teague or Ramonyea Bishop to call 911 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip l ine at1-800-422-JAIL (5245). Teague and Bishop are considered armed and dangerous and are not to be approached, authorities stress.

Sharmel Teague has been arraigned and remains jailed without bond.
