(WWJ) Nearly a month into Spring, the wintry weather isn't done with us yet.
AccuWeather is calling for another bout of snow, accumulating anywhere from 1 to 3 inches in metro Detroit on Friday.
AccuWeather Meteorologist Dean DeVore said this system is expected to arrive in our area in the early morning hours.
"Especially closer to city and near suburbs I think it's going to arrive around daybreak tomorrow at the beginning of the morning; a little bit earlier to the west," DeVore said, speaking live on WWJ Newsradio 950 on Thursday.
DeVore said that while most of the accumulation will be on grassy surfaces, travel on the roads may be slick for a time.
"Because it's a little earlier in this scenario than it was just the other day, I think slushy and slippery to wet roads (will be a factor), and then it should dry out."
The high Friday in metro Detroit will be around 40 degrees.
Looking ahead a bit, AccuWeather is predicting the weekend and next week look a bit better.
"As we get into Saturday we're looking at low 50s; mid-50s Sunday with more clouds and maybe a shower Sunday, and then mid-50s and dry on Monday," DeVore said. "Generally next week looks pretty seasonable, with temperatures in the upper 50s."
