(WWJ) The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for a young man wanted in a fatal shooting outside Erebus haunted house Pontiac.
Damon Parker Terrelle, 17, of Detroit is wanted on warrants for First Degree Murder, Felony Firearm and Carrying a Concealed Weapon in connection with a homicide authorities said stemmed from a dispute in line at the popular attraction.
Terrelle, who remained at large Thursday afternoon, is described as Black male, approximately 6’5'' tall and weighing 190 pounds.
Sheriff's officials say he is considered to be armed and dangerous.
"We're hitting a lot of dead ends," Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard told WWJ. "People obviously know we're looking for him, so at this point we need the public's help to help us locate him if he's being hidden somewhere."
According to investigators, the 29-year-old victim and his girlfriend were standing in line behind the suspected shooter last Sunday, waiting to enter the haunted house. Terrelle -- who police say can be seen in a security camera image wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt -- accused the victim of attempting to cut in line ahead of him, and some angry words were exchanged.
The victim told his girlfriend he was going to his vehicle, the suspect also walked to the parking lot, and then shots rang out.
A blue sedan quickly flee the scene after the victim was shot in the neck, chest and side. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Anyone who has information about Terrelle's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers immediately at 1-800-SPEAK-UP (1-800-773-2587). There is a $2,000 reward and you will remain anonymous.
