(WWJ) A pair of stolen puppies are back home safe, Monday morning
The English Bulldog pups was taken Saturday in the Twelve Oaks Mall parking lot, when two teenagers allegedly pulled out a gun and ran away with the dogs.
A couple, who breeds English bulldogs professionally in Lansing, were supposed to be meeting with a perspective buyer for the dogs at the time.
In an emotional Facebook post, the wife described the incident: “I can’t imagine how terrified these babies (the puppies) are and now they are with some terrible people. I am thankful my husband and two small children were not hurt, but he could have been killed.”
She put out a desperate plea to the thieves: "Take care of them, treat them right, love them. They need more than you know what to do for them, and most of all give them back!"
Novi police told WDIV that a man claiming to be an attorney contacted the couple on Sunday and returned the puppies.
Photos and video show "Gizmo" and "Bunny" on their way home, apparently unharmed.
A updated Facebook post shared by Hooligan Bulliesm, LLC reads: "We have our babies! I wanted to let everybody know we have them! Thank you for all your support! I will tell you all all about it as soon as I can find my mind. I love you all and thank you so much please share this!
There have been no arrests or charges announced in the case.
Police said the theft remains under investigation.
