MT. PLEASANT (WWJ) - Central Michigan University students still living near campus amid the coronavirus pandemic have been alerted to a shooting.
The shooting happened Monday in an apartment complex on Edgewood Street, just a couple blocks west of campus, according to authorities. There's no indication at this time who was shot or the condition of that person.
The alert, sent to CMU students early Monday evening, stated only that the shooter remained on the loose.
No further details were released, and no description of the suspect was immediately provided.
