
(WWJ) A car crash in Monroe County has left a young woman fighting for her life.
The Monroe County Sheriff said in a press release the 22-year-old Ypsilanti woman was driving a grey, 2004 Ford Escape when she lost control around midnight Saturday.
It happened on Grames Road, near Townsend, in London Township.
The car flipped over. She was thrown from the car—along with a 19-year-old Monroe man riding in the front seat. Police say neither of them was wearing a seatbelt.
It is unclear if drugs or alcohol were involved.
They are both hospitalized. She is in critical condition. He is in stable condition.
