(WWJ/AP) A Spirit Airlines flight bound for Detroit was forced to land in Iowa after a fight onboard.
Des Moines police said the flight from Los Angeles, California to Detroit Metro Airport in Romulus was diverted due to the incident, landed at Des Moines International Airport, Thursday morning.
According to police, the fight started because a passenger who wanted to sleep was upset with other people being too loud.
KETV reported the plane was on the ground in Iowa for about two hours, and one passenger was taken off before the flight then continued on to Detroit. Sgt. Paul Parizek said no one was arrested, and the passenger who was removed from the plane was allowed to leave.
Police did not say how many people were involved in the fight. No further details about the passenger or the incident were released, and no injuries were reported.
The investigation is continuing.
