DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police are asking for the public's help in locating an elderly Detroit man who has been missing for a month.

Detroit Police say 74-year-old Bobby Blackwell was last seen around 5:15 p.m. on Jan. 5 at his home in the 18900 block of Westphalia Street, just south of 7 Mile Road and west of Schoenherr Street on the city's east side.

Blackwell's family says his credit card was used around 11:30 p.m. that night at a gas station a few miles away near 8 Mile and Kelly Roads, but they have not seen or heard from him since. He was last seen wearing a brown and tan checkered shirt with blue jeans.

Police say Blackwell is in good physical condition, but suffers from dementia.

Anyone who has seen Bobby Blackwell or knows of his whereabouts is asked to call Detroit Police Department's Ninth Precinct Investigative Unit at 313-596-5940 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
