DETROIT (WWJ) - A Detroit man was shot and killed while he was apparently working on cars on the city's east side.
The incident happened around 1:47 a.m. Thursday in the 11000 block of Charlemagne, near Gratiot Avenue and Conner Street.
According to police, the 59-year-old victim was outside working on cars when shots were fired and he was fatally struck.
Two suspects, described as black men dressed in dark-colored clothing, were observed running from the area after the shooting, according to police.
It's unclear what led up to the shooting or if the victim knew the suspects. An investigation is ongoing.
