(WWJ) Detroit Police are calling on the public to help them identify and locate the suspect in the deadly shooting near Friday night's protests.
Police say a 21-year-old Eastpointe man was shot and killed in the area of Congress and Randolph around 11:30 pm.
Police Chief James Craig said he does not believe the death was "protest related."
The suspect (pictured below) is accused of firing shots into a silver Dodge Caliber where the victim and two other men were sitting.
The three ran away from the car after the suspect started firing shots, but the man was shot in the process of escaping; according to police.
He died later at the hospital. The other two men were not hurt.
The suspect is described as 17 to 20 years old. Police say he has a light complexion and a short afro. He wore a surgical mask, a dark hooded sweater, bright yellow pants with a red stripe on both legs and Adidas sandals.
The others in the picture are persons of interest, believed to have been with him at the time of the shooting.
