DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are asking for the public's help in bringing home a missing teenage girl.
Authorities say 16-year-old Amariona Mayfield went to bed around 9:30 p.m. Sunday night at her family's home in the 19900 block of Hanna Street, located just north of E. State Fair Avenue, a few blocks east of I-75, on the city's north side.
When her mother woke up Monday morning around 6 a.m., her daughter was missing, according to police.
Mayfield is described as a 16-year-old black female with medium brown complexion, medium build and dark brown long braids. She was last seen a white t-shirt with black and pink pinstripe shorts.
Police say she is in good physical and mental condition. Police did not say what may have led to her disappearance.
