DEARBORN (WWJ) - Ford Motor Company has issued another recall for thousands of Ranger pickup trucks because of an issue with a replacement part.
The recall involves nearly 5,400 Rangers from the 2019 model year that were previously recalled to have the heating, ventilation and air conditioning blowers replaced.
The automaker says a issue with a replacement part could cause an electrical short. This increases the risk of the HVAC blower motor overheating, melting, smoking or causing a fire.
Ford is not aware of any reports of accident, injury or fire related to this condition.
Dealers will notify owners and provide repairs as necessary.
