(WWJ) A Pontiac woman is behind bars after she allegedly stabbed a man and her young daughter over the weekend.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, the 36-year-old woman and her 29-year-old boyfriend were arguing on Saturday, in the 20 block of Collingwood Street, when the situation escalated.
It's alleged that the woman assaulted her boyfriend with a knife and stabbed the 8-year-old girl when she stepped in to try to stop the attack.
The man suffered multiple stab wounds and a large laceration to his chest, officials said, and the girl had a large laceration on her arm and shoulder area.
Both victims were listed in stable condition at a local hospital on Monday, according to the sheriff's office.
Child Protective Services has been notified and charges are pending against the woman, who was arrested and lodged in the Oakland County Jail.
Her name is behind withheld pending an arraignment.
