VIDEO: Man Accosted By Masked Gunmen Outside Detroit Home

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are searching for three suspects who robbed a man in a terrifying incident that was caught on a home surveillance system.

The incident happened around 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21 in the area of Cornwall Avenue and Beaconsfield Street, in an east side neighborhood off Warren Avenue and Alter Road. 

According to police, the 23-year-old victim was entering his home when he was approached by two masked suspects who were traveling in an older model white Ford Taurus. The suspects exited their vehicle with guns drawn and demanded the victim's personal belongings.

One suspect was armed with a rifle while the other was armed with a handgun. Both proceeded to take items from the victim's pockets and demanded his backpack. They fled the scene in the white Taurus, which was driven by a third suspect.

The victim complied and was not injured. 

The two suspects are described as males in their 20s, 5'6" to 5'8" with a slim build, wearing black ski masks. A description of the third suspect was not provided.
