DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are investigating after a man in a wheelchair was fatally struck by a vehicle.
The incident happened around 7 p.m. Thursday on Harper Avenue at Park Drive, between Conner and Chalmers streets on the city's east side.
The victim was reportedly trying to cross Harper and was not in a crosswalk when he was stuck.
The driver stopped at the scene and was questioned by police.
The crash remains under investigation
