DETROIT (WWJ) - A 29-year-old man is clinging to life after he was shot multiple times while driving in Detroit's Corktown district.
Police say the victim was discovered in the area of in the Michigan Avenue and Wabash Street around 10:45 p.m. Friday, sitting inside of a burgundy Chevy Impala that had crashed into a silver Ford Focus.
The victim was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was transported to a hospital. He was last listed in critical condition.
Investigators determined that the shooting occurred just over a mile away in the 3800 block of 29th Street, though other circumstances weren't immediately clear.
No other injuries were reported.
