ASH TWP. (WWJ) - Michigan State Police asking for the public's help to find a man suspected of breaking into and robbing a rest stop vending machine.

Troopers responded to a call of suspicious activity at a rest stop on I-275 in Monroe County's Ash Township at around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26. When they arrived, they found a damaged vending machine with the door wide open. Further investigation revealed all of the money was gone.

Police on Monday released a security camera of the suspect, described as a middle-aged bald white male. Video, they say, showed he'd waited until the rest area was unoccupied to break into the vending machine.

The suspect was wearing khaki pants, a blue jacket, blue shirt and glasses, and driving a small, dark-colored car.

Anyone who can identify this wanted man is asked to contact Trooper Kyle Michael at 734-242-3500.
