DETROIT (WWJ) -- The search is on for a man who was caught on video throwing a brick through the front window of a home on Detroit's east side earlier this month.
Detroit police are asking for help in tracking down the suspect, who is wanted for the malicious destruction of property. Shortly after 1 a.m. on March 17, the man walked onto the front porch of a home in the 3100 block of St. Joseph Street -- just west of Gratiot and Mack Avenues -- and threw a brick through the window.
Video shows the man slowly walking away from the scene.
Police say no one was inside the home at the time of the incident.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6'0", with a medium build. He has a goatee and was last seen wearing a knit beanie hat and a large winter coat.
Anyone who recognizes this suspect or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact the Detroit Police Department's 7th Precinct at 313-596-5740, or Crome Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
