(WWJ) Roseville police are on the hunt for a jewelry thief.
According to investigators, the young suspect was caught on security camera at the Diamond Gallery in Macomb Mall at around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 19.
Police said he stole around $1,500 worth of jewelry before fleeing the mall — jumping into the passenger side of a dark blue Pontiac G6.
Authorities did not released any information about how he got away with it.
As the investigation continues, Crime Stoppers is hoping that someone in the public will recognize the suspect.
Seen in a photo released Wednesday, he is described as a black male, around 18 to 22 years old. He was wearing basketball shorts and a white t-shirt at the time of the crime. A photo of the suspect vehicle, caught on camera before it left the scene, was also released.
