DETROIT (WWJ) - The search for a missing Macomb County man has come to a tragic end.
The Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office tells WWJ Newsradio 950 that 24-year-old Joshua Leo of Macomb Township was found dead, about three weeks after he was last seen alive in Detroit.
No information was immediately released about exactly where he was found, or how he died.
According to Detroit police, Leo was seen in the area Whittier and King Richard on Detroit's east side at around 3 p.m. on Dec. 19, 2019. He never returned to his home in the 21000 block of Montmorency South, in the area of Hall and Card roads; and on Monday of this week, police reached out to the public for tips.
Police did not say what Leo was doing in the city, and other circumstances surrounding the case are unknown at this time.
WWJ is awaiting more information from authorities, including whether or not investigators suspect foul play. Detroit police would not comment on the case on Friday.
