FLINT (WWJ/AP) - A Michigan woman appeared in court Tuesday, charged in the fatal shooting of a store security guard who refused to allow her daughter shop because she wasn’t wearing a mask to protect against transmission of the coronavirus.

Sharmel Teague, 45, was arraigned via video and ordered held without bond, according to the Genesee County Prosecutor's Office.

Teague, her husband, 44-year-old Larry Teague her son, 23-year-old Ramonyea Bishop all face first-degree premeditated murder charges in last Friday’s killing of 43-year-old Calvin Munerlyn at a Family Dollar store near downtown Flint. The three defendants also face gun charges.

Larry Teague and Bishop remained at large, as of Tuesday afternoon, and were believed to be on the run, prosecutor David Leyton said. Both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police said Sharmel Teague argued with Munerlyn before leaving the store Friday afternoon.

Larry Teague and Bishop later showed up at the store to confront Munerlyn; and, according to witnesses, it's alleged that Bishop pulled a gun and shot Munerlyn in the back of the head.

No information has been released about the daughter, who has not been charged in the shooting.

Sharmel Teague was remanded to jail while she will await a probable cause conference set for May 14.

Meanwhile, more than $220,000 has been raised through a GoFundMe account for Munerlyn, a father of eight who was known by the nickname "Super Duper."

"Duper was a hard working, father and husband who lost his life while doing his job securing the place of business and asking all customers to wear a mask for our own safety as well as others," reads a message on the GoFundMe page. "He leaves behind 8 amazing kids, a super loving wife, & his wonderful mother."

Anyone who has seen Larry Teague or Bishop, or who had  information on their whereabouts, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL. A $1,000 reward is available for the tip leading to their arrests.
