MONROE COUNTY, Mich. (WWJ) -- Cleanup efforts are underway in Monroe County after a semi truck rolled over on a freeway ramp Tuesday evening.

The crash happened shortly after 4 p.m. on the northbound I-75 ramp to northbound I-275, leaving the ramp blocked for several hours. As of 10:15 p.m., the truck had been cleared, but the ramp remained closed as crews worked to clean up spilled fuel.

Drivers looking for an alternate route can continue north on I-75 to Newport Road and follow that west to northbound Telegraph Road, back to I-275.

Police have not released any details about the crash, but many southeast Michigan commuters saw slick roadways during the evening rush hour as snow squalls popped up and roads became icy.

It was not clear whether anyone was injured or any other vehicles were involved.
