DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are trying to locate a person of interest involved in a felonious assault that took place on Christmas Eve.
The incident happened around 12:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 14200 block of Frankfort Street, near Warren Avenue and Chalmers Street on the city's east side.
The 27-year-old victim told police he was seated in his vehicle in front of the location when three suspects approached him. One suspect produced a handgun and fired into the vehicle, shattering the glass.
Glass from the window struck the victim in the face. The victim was transported to a local hospital and was last reported in temporary serious condition.
Police say 28-year-old Dakarai Marquis Perry has been identified as a person of interest. He is currently being sought for questioning.
