DEARBORN (WWJ) - A person was arrested after walking around the University of Michigan Dearborn campus with a machete.
According to a campus-wide email sent by U-M Dearborn Police Chief Gary Gorski, police got a call from an employee working in Fairlane Center North — the university's business school — who had contact with the person who was "exhibiting unusually nervous behavior" in a restroom Thursday night.
Police, who confirmed the incident to WWJ Newsradio 950 on Friday, said the person was arrested and taken to the Dearborn Police Department lockup. No details about the person were released.
There were some reports that the person in custody matched the description of a person who was reported missing from the Henry Ford Medical Center – Fairlane, but that detail was not immediately confirmed by police.
No injuries were reported.
