(WWJ) A fatal crash on the freeway in Groveland Township claimed the life of a motorcyclist.
Michigan State Police say a woman was driving at a high rate of speed on northbound I-75 near Lahring when she rear-ended a motorcycle around 3:30 am Sunday.
The impact of the crash killed the motorcyclist on scene, according to State Police.
Investigators tell WWJ the woman was arrested at the scene for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. She was taken to a hospital for evaluation and a blood draw.
The motorcyclist’s age, gender and identity have not yet been released pending notification of the family.
