DETROIT (WWJ) -- The man that local police agencies and U.S. Marshals are searching for in multiple homicide cases is now believed to be a person of interest in a sixth metro Detroit-area murder.

Kenyel Brown, 40, was most recently named as a person of interest in a shooting around 1:45 a.m. Saturday on Minnesota near John R. on the city's east side. Police say a 36-year-old man's body was found in a vacant building.

Brown is also considered a person of interest in a murder Thursday night at Next Level Custom Tees on 8 Mile Road, as well as a fatal beating in Highland Park on Feb. 18.

Police have said Brown is a suspect in a triple shooting in River Rouge that left two people dead and another critically injured. He is also a person of interest in a River Rouge murder back in December, according to WXYZ. Brown could be linked to more violent crimes in the Downriver area, Detroit Capt. Jonathan Parnell told told reporters Friday.

Marli Blackman with the Highland Park Police Department says they were able to connect the dots that pointed to Brown as a suspect.

"It seems as if he's a very dangerous person, so if you see him or know of his whereabouts, we always encourage you to contact the Highland Park Police Department or any public safety office," Blackman told WWJ.

A reward of up to $10,000 is now being offered for information that leads to an arrest in this case.

Parnell said Brown has multiple active felony warrants out for his arrest, and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Brown was last seen in a 2008-2012 black Dodge Caravan (pictured) with Texas license plate NZL 7787.

"With the help of U.S. Marshals and our DFAT (Detroit Fugitive Apprehension Team) Task Force with Detroit police we are actively looking for him. We are requesting the public's help," Parnell said.

Aaron Garcia with the U.S. Marshals said they've been looking for Brown for about two weeks in connection with a triple shooting Jan. 30 in the 500 block of Beechwood in River Rouge.

Two people were killed and a third was injured at a public housing complex.

"Every day he's out there is a risk or a threat that somebody else could get killed out there," Garcia said.

Anyone with information on Brown's whereabouts you're urged to contact the U.S. Marshals Service 24-hour tip line at 313-234-5656 or call Crime Stoppers' anonymous tip line at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
