Detroit Police Searching For Missing Toddler Taken By Noncustodial Parent

(WWJ) Police are asking the public to keep an eye out for a missing 2-year-old boy, who disappeared along with his mother who does not have legal custody. 

Carson Hayes was last seen on Tuesday, Sept. 8, just before 1:30 p.m.

According to police, Carson's father took the boy to his mom's house, located in the 20800 block of W. Chicago in Detroit.

At some point it is believed that the mother, Asia Sturgis, took Carson, and the father has not been able to find them. 

Sturgis is described as 25-year-old Black female, 5'4" tall and weighing around 155 lbs., with a light brown complexion, brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray hoodie with a white tank top underneath, red leggings and unknown colored tennis shoes, and was carrying a black bag.

She may be driving a blue 2019 Nissan Altima. with New Hampshire license plate: 4576271.

Police said there no photo available of Sturgis,
