Port Huron Residents Told To Shelter In Place As Police Investigate Armed Robbery

PORT HURON, Mich. (WWJ) -- Residents in Port Huron have been told to shelter in place as police search for a shooting suspect.

The Port Huron Police Department posted on its Facebook page shortly after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday that they were investigating a shooting in the 3100 block of Electric Avenue. Residents in the area were urged to stay inside and contact police if they saw any suspicious activity in their yards.


Police said the incident was an unarmed robbery and an unknown black male fled the scene in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.

Anyone who has information about the incident is urged to call St. Clair County Central Dispatch 911.
