DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are searching for a gunman who was either driving or riding in a red Jeep Cherokee when they shot and wounded two men.
Police say the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday as the victims, ages 27 and 20, were driving a black 2017 Buick Lacrosse at an unknown location. At some point, the victims encountered a red Jeep Cherokee and someone inside that vehicle fired shots at the victims, striking both men.
The victims drove to the second precinct, near I-96 and Schaefer Highway, and medics transported them to a local hospital. Both were last reported in temporary-serious condition.
The suspect or suspects fled the scene and remain at large. No description was provided.
Circumstances surrounding the shooting are still being investigated.
