(WWJ) A bolt of lighting started a fire at a Rochester Hills apartment building over the weekend, according to authorities.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called out to assist at the scene at around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, in the 3000 block of Galloway Ct., in the area of Butler and S. Adams Roads.

The 8-unit building was evacuated, and no occupants were reported to be injured.

The Oakland, Oxford, Orion, Auburn Hills, Troy, Waterford Regional and Rochester City Township Fire Departments all responded, and the fire was extinguished.
