(WWJ) An elderly Oakland County woman has died in a crash in Northern Michigan Tuesday.
According to the Presque Isle County Sheriff's Office, the 78-year old Rochester woman didn't stop at a stop sign at County Rd. 441 and E. 638 Hwy., north of Alpena, and crashed into another vehicle.
The woman died at the scene.
A 79-year-old man, who was a passenger in the car, was extricated from the vehicle by first responders, deputies said. He was airlifted to Hurley Hospital in Flint where he was listed in critical condition.
No names have been released at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
