(WWJ) Shelby Township police are asking for the public's help to identify and locate the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run crash.
Mya Shaw, 21, had just left her job at the Burger King on 23 Mile Rd. and Schoenherr Rd. at 10:20 p.m. last Thursday, Oct. 1, when she tried to cross Schoenherr in the crosswalk.
Police said Shaw was struck by a light-colored vehicle, believed to be a 2015-2020 Dodge Challenger, that was traveling southbound.
That vehicle did not stop, are stll searching for the driver.
On Monday, the Shelby Twp. PD released surveillance video from a neighboring business.
Investigators are hoping someone in the public knows something that could help them solve this case.
Anyone who can ID the wanted driver, or who has any relevant infomraion is asked to call the Shelby Twp. Police Department at 586-731-2121 ext. 3 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 1-800-SPEAK UP (1-800-773-2587).
