PONTIAC (WWJ) - The Oakland County Sheriffs' Office is on the hunt for a Pontiac man wanted for murder.
Lewis Terrelle McNeir, 32, has been charged in the shooting death of a man in the 700 block of Whittemore, in the area of Auburn Ave. and MLK Blvd., last Sunday.
The victim, found in the doorway of a home with two gunshot wounds to the torso, according to investigators.
A witness reported seeing an unknown man approach the victim and fire three to four gunshots with a black and silver semi-automatic handgun before running away.
During the investigation, detectives were able to identify the gunman as McNeir, who has a previous conviction for an unarmed robbery in 2008.
The Oakland County Prosecutor's Office has charged McNeir with one count of first degree murder, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, and two counts possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
The sheriff's office said he should be considered armed and dangerous, and was being actively sought by investigators on Thursday.

The victim's name has not been released.
