(WWJ) Meteorologists say bad storms will likely roll across the listening area throughout the night.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 5:00 am Saturday for the following counties: Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, Monroe, Washtenaw, Lenawee, Livingston and St. Clair.
The weather alert says flooding is possible. A Severe alert is defined as a "significant threat to life or property.
The following cities are expected to be hardest hit, according to the National Weather Service.

-Brighton
- Canton
-Dearborn
-Ferndale
-Fowlerville
-Howell
-Lambertville
-Lincoln
- Livonia
-Marysville
- Monroe
- Novi
- Pontiac
- Port Huron
-Redford
-Royal Oak
- Southfield
-St. Clair Shores
-Sterling Heights
-Taylor
- Temperance
-Troy
- Warren
-Waterford
- Westland
However, the NWS says anyone who lives in the aforementioned counties should remain on alert and take shelter indoors.
