(WWJ) A 46-year-old man was killed last night, when he was thrown off his motorcycle in Monroe County's Raisinville Township.
According to Michigan State Police, alcohol is considered to be a factor in the crash at around 9:15 p.m. Sunday, on Dixon Rd. between Cherry Rd. and Sorter Rd.
An investigation by the MSP Monroe Post determined that the Monroe man was driving a Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on Dixon when the bike went off the right side of the road and crashed, ejecting the driver.
The man suffered fatal injuries, despite attempts to revive him by citizens and first responders, police said.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Troopers on scene were assisted by Ida Twp. Fire Department, Monroe Community Ambulance, Monroe County Sheriffs Department and the Michigan Department Natural Resources.
The man's name was not immediately released.
