DETROIT (WWJ) - Illegal drugs and stolen guns are off the streets following a series of raids in the city of Detroit.
According Michigan State Police Drug, officers with the MSP Narcotics Team for Macomb County executed three search warrants earlier this week. During the raids they seized more than $9,000, along with 487 grams of suspected heroin and 343 grams of suspected cocaine.
The raids also led to the discovery of 23 firearms, police said. Investigators say 15 guns had been stolen, including 13 that were taken in a burglary at a West Virginia gun shop last year.
