Teen charged with murder in deadly shooting outside Pontiac’s Erebus haunted house

(WWJ) A Detroit teen accused of shooting and killing a man at the Erebus haunted house in Pontiac has been taken into custody.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department said its Apprehension Team, in partnership with U.S. Marshals, arrested Damon Parker Terrelle, 17, of Detroit near the Indiana border Saturday.

He has been charged with First Degree Murder—Life Felony, Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and Carrying a Concealed Weapons. The judge denied his bond.

The Oakland County Sheriff told WWJ Terrelle killed a man, 29, of Detroit just after 12:30 a.m. on September 27.

The motive: Terrelle believed the victim and his girlfriend cut in front of him in line at the haunted house on Perry Street near Huron and Woodward, according to the Sheriff’s office.

Terrelle is being housed at the Oakland County Jail. He has no previous criminal history.
