DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are searching for a gunman who shot and injured three people as they were driving away from a coney island on Detroit's east side.
The group left Deluxe Coney Island, on 7 Mile Road and Conant Street, around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday and was heading west on 7 Mile when someone in a dark-colored sedan pulled up a started shooting at them, hitting them as they drove away.
The victims -- a 25- and 39-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man -- drove a few miles down 7 Mile to the 12th Precinct for help. All were transported to the hospital and listed in temporary serious condition.
The suspect fled and remains at large.
