
(WWJ) The Detroit Police Department asking for the public’s help to solve a dognapping.
The owner of a detail shop in the 6400 block of E. Jefferson Ave., near Mt. Elliot St. on the city’s east side, reported that he left his business at around 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 28. When he returned at around 7 a.m. the next day, his dog was missing.
Security camera images released by police show the suspect lifting the 2-year-old mixed breed dog over a fence.
The suspect is described as a white male, 20 to 50 years old, with a receding hairline. He was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

Police say the man is wanted on a larceny charge.
