(WWJ) Authorities believe a woman who fired shots and threatened people at a Lansing hotel may have been drunk.
The woman was arrested following the incident late Tuesday night at the Travelodge on W. Saginaw Street near I-96 and I-69.
According to the Eaton County Sheriff's Office, the armed suspect "appeared intoxicated" at around 11:30 p.m., as she alleged fired gunshots into the air and pointed a gun at people at the hotel.
Deputies responded quickly to the scene were able to arrest the suspect before anyone got hurt. The gun was recovered, officials said.
"Thankfully no one was injured or struck by any rounds in this dangerous situation," the sheriff's office said in a statement.
It's unclear what may have prompted the incident.
The woman was taken to the Eaton County Jail were she remains held awaiting felony charges.
Her name was not released, pending an arraignment.
