ECORSE (WWJ) - A woman is safe after a man allegedly tried to kidnap her from a Downriver neighborhood.
The woman told Ecorse police a man driving a white Chrysler Town and Country minivan tried to abduct her near Southfield Road and 5th Street, near Jefferson Avenue right by the Detroit River, around 2 a.m. Wednesday.
She was able to get away and was not injured.
The minivan has dark tinted windows, rear bumper damage and a partial license plate number of "1-6-B." The suspect is said to be a light-skinned black male wearing all dark clothing.
