STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (WWJ) -- A police investigation is underway after a woman's body was found outside a home in Sterling Heights late Monday afternoon.
Sterling Heights police tell WWJ they responded a call around 5 p.m. in the 1400 block of Shadywood Driver -- near 16 Mile and Schoenherr Roads -- and found the woman's dead body.
Police say the circumstances surrounding the death were suspicious. It was not clear what may have caused the death, and authorities have not released any details about the victim.
Police are calling it an active crime scene, but say there is no danger to the public.
