DEARBORN (WWJ) - A $2,500 cash reward is being offered for information leading to two suspects who went on an armed robbery spree in Dearborn that left a woman dead.
Police say the suspects are responsible for three separate incidents that happened in the city Friday night.
Around 9:40 p.m., officers responded to the area of Steadman and Morross after a victim reported an armed robbery. While conducting an investigation, officers were dispatched to Bingham and Tireman, about a mile away, on a report of a woman who had been shot. An investigation revealed that a 29-year-old woman was approached by multiple suspects on Bingham and was subsequently shot during an apparent robbery. The suspects fled after the shooting. The woman was transported to Henry Ford Hospital where she died from her injuries.
While investigating the shooting, officers received an additional report of a man who was assaulted at gunpoint in the same general area of Bingham and Morross.
The suspects that approached the three separate victims are described as a short man wearing a white mask and all black clothing, and a tall, thin man wearing all black clothing. Police released a photo of a car that was observed on multiple surveillance systems in the area and is believed to be the suspect vehicle.
Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said the public's help will be critical in catching the suspects. Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,5000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
"Please check your home security videos that may contain valuable information to solve these crimes," Haddad said in a statement. "We are urging the public to come forward and provide information to help identify the suspects."
