(WWJ) A northern Oakland County man is behind bars after calling 911 and confessing that he had killed his girlfriend.
The Sheriff's Department said when they got there, the 50-year-old man was standing in the driveway.
"I shot her, I killed her," he allegedly said.
Officers went inside and discovered the body of a 60-year-old woman. She had been shot several times.
A handgun was found in the basement.
It's unclear what led to the shooting, but the man was arrested and faces a judge later on Friday or Saturday morning.
