DETROIT (WWJ) - A man on Detroit's Most Wanted List has been arrested several states over.

Police in West Virginia say Michael Christian Hopkins, aka Robert Pace, was arrested Wednesday and charged with being a fugitive from justice.

Detectives stopped Hopkins and another man, Daniel D. Crane, as they left a home in Huntington and executed a search warrant. Police say Hopkins initially provided a false identification but officers were quickly able to determine his true identity and he was taken into custody.

Police say officers found a small amount of marijuana on Crane, also of Detroit, so he was also arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession.

During a search of the home, officers located a small amount of marijuana as well as various kinds of ammunition.

Hopkins is being held pending an extradition hearing to Detroit. His original charge is home invasion.
