DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are searching for a group of thieves who took off with several vehicles from a car lot on Detroit's east side.
It happened around 12:40 a.m. Wednesday at a lot outside of the GM Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly plant on Chene near Mt. Elliott.
Police say four men jumped the back fence of the lot and drove off with possibly three or four vehicles -- though it's not clear which vehicles were taken.
Officers are now on the lookout for those suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
This isn't the first time a Detroit auto plant has been targeted by thieves. Last year, thieves stole vehicles from the Fiat Chrysler Jefferson North plant on at least six occasions.
