MT. CLEMENS, Mich. (WWJ) -- The Macomb County Sheriff's Office is encouraging the public to be on the lookout for a teenager who ran away from his family's home last weekend.
Authorities say 13-year-old Daejon Markham took off from his family's home in Mt. Clemens on July 20 and has not been seen since.
The sheriff's office says it is believed that Markham is in the Detroit area, but they did not specify why.
Markham is described as a black male, about 5-foot-4, 115 lbs. He has short brown afro style hair and brown eyes. Police say they believe he was wearing black and white Nike tennis shoes when he ran away.
Anyone who has seen Daejon Markham or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office at 586- 469-9358.
