DEARBORN (WWJ) - Michigan State Police are warning drivers: If you speed through the Dearborn area, you will get caught.
Extra patrols will be out Thursday along Ford Road in Dearborn and Dearborn Heights, one of the most requested areas for extra enforcement, according to police.
"Let’s drive safely out there, Wear your seatbelt and don’t drive distracted," MSP Metro Detroit said on Twitter.
Just a Heads UP: One if the areas requested for motor enforcement was the Ford Road area in Dearborn and Dearborn Heights. Well, we will be out there this Thursday. More to come. @UsaDheini pic.twitter.com/NDipMVtCpl

August 13, 2019 The increased enforcement comes a couple weeks after a crackdown on two area freeways led to hundreds of traffic stops and tickets. Police were looking for "drivers that are more likely to cause a traffic crash," as well as excessive speed, seatbelts, following too closely and other aggressive driving behaviors.
