Florida creates new oddities every day. Don't believe us? Google the words 'Florida man,' and see what comes up.
So for all the wackiness that comes out of the Panhandle State, this news isn't exactly earth shaking ... especially for those of us from colder climes.
All the same, it's notable when Florida water parks shut down due to the cold, which is exactly what just happened.
Volcano Bay at Universal Orlando Resort and Aquatica Orlando have shut down, according to the parks' respective social media platforms. Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is also closed.
Weather.com says Orlando's expected high is 55 degrees today, though overnight wind chills dropped to a *cough-cough* brutal 35 degrees. A wind chill warning said to expect wind chills from 25 to 35 degrees in Orlando and all east central Florida from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. this morning.
Meanwhile, the regular temperature in Detroit was 20 degrees.
