JACKSON, Mich. (WWJ) - Michigan State Police are asking any additional victims to come forward as they investigate a man they call a probable serial criminal sexual conduct and intimidation suspect.

William Anthony Akin, 37, was arrested Wednesday on a 5-count warrant on charge of first degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of unlawful imprisonment and malicious use of telecommunications services.

Prosecutors allege that Akin approached his victims online using "Plenty of Fish," "Tagged," and similar apps and websites. He is believed to have used his full name on these sites as well as the pseudonyms "Will" and "Will Smith."

He has since been arraigned on the charges, police said, and was scheduled to appear in court for a probable cause conference on Wednesday.

As the investigation continues, anyone who has information about this suspect's activities or who may have have had contact with him online is asked to call the Detective Bureau of the Michigan State Police Jackson Post at 517-780-4580.
